Reaching in, Reaching out

"Grace Notes" is a wonderful, pocket-sized book that urges you to reach in to your inner-self and out to others. Each day list a thoughtful quote, two 'grace notes' and a spot for you to jot down your own ideas. I usually can't help myself and skip ahead to future days. The size is perfect and I can stash the book in my purse or briefcase so I'm never without some helpful encouragement. The only thing I didn't like was the book is a little drab. Everything in the book is black-and-white but I think for such a feel-good book some color is in order.

Timeless Wisdom

Tiny secrets of happiness here and they truly do add up to a graced life. This is my second copy. I'd owned the first edition from the time it was printed and recently (after much consideration) gave that one to my DIL as I wanted her to have access to the daily treasures this book provides. It is amazing to me that the quotes and Stoddard's precious nuggets of inspirational wisdom from 18 years ago are just as valuable, viable, interesting and relevant now as they were the first time I read the words. Each page is a little bit of sunlight infusing my day with a uniquely enhanced enrichment, power and yes, grace. It's a beautifully written book and one I hope to pass along to my granddaughter. It's a book every woman should own and read no matter what her stage in life.
