I thought if I saw the word "shimmering" one more ...

I thought if I saw the word "shimmering" one more time, I would close the book. It is poorly written.
The story is a soap opera about a very dysfunctional family, and they could have lived anywhere. The author scattered old Atlanta family names and places throughout the book in the wrong places in an attempt to make the tale seem authentic, therefore making it seem artificial.
If anyone needs a summer read to park your brain, then this is it.

Time out of time

Peachtree Road is about a group of young people trying to grow up in a magical time, in a still magical place, where being a deb meant everything, and the places that you expect to go in life are not always chosen by you. And there are costs to the rebels who dare to buck the societal system. Sometimes it's worth it, other times its a disaster.

Hated this!

The only reason I gave it one star is because I couldn't give it none! Very verbose. This author takes 12 words to say something that can be said in three. None of the characters had any redeeming qualities. One of the worst books I've ever forced myself to read!
