Excelente Libro

La verdad no he tenido la oportunidad de leer el libro en español, pero lo he leido en ingles y me entusiasmó saber que ya está disponible la version en español, pues este es un maravilloso libro que merece ser traducido a cuantos idiomas se pueda. Si eres fan de los libros de L F Baum y de la película de MGM, Wicked te encantará, ya que Gregory Maguire toma elementos importantes de los libros originales, elementos clásicos de la película y crea un mundo denso con personajes profundos e interesantes, dando como reslultado un nuevo Oz, que , aunque es el mismo que conocimos de niños, es como redescubrirlo con ojos de adulto.

EL MAGO DE OZ REVISITADO

Intolerancia, racismo, fanatismo y golpes de estado, ese es la definición del convulso Oz.
Lugar en el que transcurre la vida de Elphaba, una chica con piel verde, que lucha contra el sistema y contra el Mago, un tirano que esta convirtiendo a Oz en un Estado totalitario. Siempre rechazada y señalada por su color Elphaba lo único que busca es justicia, por lo cual se convierte en parte de la guerrilla de Oz, llevándola inevitablemente a convertirse en La Malvada Bruja del Oeste.
En este libro sobre las convicciones personales, el perdón y el rechazo; Gregory Maguire traza una excelente alegoría sobre el mundo en el que vivimos y a veces padecemos, con todos su problemas y sus vicios, demostrándonos que somos mas parecidos a Oz de lo que pensamos, porque finalmente quien no se ha sentido alguna vez rechazado como si tuviera piel verde.
